Lake properties have a way of raising the stakes on outdoor design. You've got a stunning natural backdrop - so the last thing you want is a yard that doesn't live up to it. That's exactly the challenge we love solving.

This Lake James property needed an outdoor space that could handle real use. Evenings around a fire, afternoons watching the water, guests coming and going all summer. The circular paver patio gave us a clean foundation to work with - large-format stone pavers with a contrasting dark border that defines the space without boxing it in.

The built-in fire pit sits right at the center of it all. Stone surround, clean lines, designed to complement the home's modern mountain aesthetic. A few Adirondack chairs arranged around it and the whole setup just makes sense. You don't need much else when the view behind you looks like that.

We also worked the surrounding landscape to tie everything together - fresh mulch beds, new plantings, and natural boulders used to ease the transition from the patio down toward the water's edge. It keeps the space feeling intentional rather than thrown together. That's the difference good landscape design makes - every element works with the others.
